Woah. A whirlwind long weekend in America for a friend’s bachelorette, some quality mother daughter time and the opportunity to mail these beautiful hats. Top to bottom:

Pack orders for an Australia hat shipment with me! Taking advantage of a little time back in Sydney to pack Australia orders in the space of the apartment, so much easier than packing orders on the boat. Before shipping I press and touch up each hat and write a hand written note to the new hat owner!

And haha yes I clearly have a thing for fish, between the hand painted fish surf board and the sardine pants, what can I say. I’m an ocean loving sewing sailor 💁‍♀️

It is such a joy that my little haberdashery is starting to take off. but golly. Between living / sailing on a 52' sailboat (something is always breaking!), a full time corporate sustainability job, my creative outlet of haberdashery, working out and some semblance of a social / family life. ⁠

And today I need to fill up the diesel jerry cans. So here we go. One of the OG Cameron Collection hats on deck, pre-diesel top up. While we sail as much as we can, sometimes the winds aren't in our favor or we need to anchor / dock - which I am not a mighty enough captain to undertake under sail unless I really have to. Truly day in the life! ⁠

I stocked up on 60’s and 70’s vintage towels during my December visit home to Florida and have 40+ towels from grandmothers, aunts, antique stores and good ole eBay waiting to be repurposed into handmade hats 🪡 Here is a small smattering of what’s to come. I’m well and truly in my 70s era. As if the hats from 70s vintage towels were not enough I’ve now gone down a 70s foods rabbit hole. Initially inspired by @wishbonekitchen’s shrimp tree, I went down a research path of old cookbooks and found not only more shrimp trees but a wiener trees. Of course I had to make not only the shrimp tree but the weiner and serve them at a family Christmas gathering while wearing my handmade hats…

Comically there were two new significant others that joined the family Christmas this year. For a few minutes had 1 of them convinced the wiener tree was a family tradition 😂 I fear I’ve completed my transition into a mad hatter
